Class Schedule

The Seminole County Fire Training Center offers courses for fire, rescue, and hazardous materials response personnel.  All class content follows NFPA, OSHA, and Florida Division of State Fire Marshal guidelines and requirements.

We strive to deliver real-life scenarios using a variety of on-site training props and equipment.  Our instructors and staff take great pride in our facility, equipment, and the high quality of instruction provided to each course participant.  We look foward to seeing you here at Central Florida's premier Public Safety Training Center.

This forty-hour, technical rescue course teaches students how to perform organized, systematic rescues from a variety of towers including radio, microwave, electrical, transmission, water, and lighting structures.  Participants learn the procedures and systems required for stabilizing and lowering patients and have ample opportunity to use their skills and knowledge in simulated rescue situations.  All appropriate OSHA, NFPA and other applicable standards will be reviewed and implemented during this course.

Prerequisite:  NFPA 1670-compliant Rope Rescue Technician certification and Instructor approval.

This five-day course is designed for firefighters seeking to improve their knowledge and skills in truck company operations. Firefighters will learn the fundamental concepts of truck company operations, forcible entry, search, ground ladders, ventilation, saws and critical thinking skills that will assist them in their fire ground decision making.

This class meets the criteria for Vehicle & Machinery Rescue at the technician level, as defined by NFPA 1670, NFPA 1006 and FCDICE.

Prerequisite:  VMR, Operations Level
